I don't know how hard you are on your stuff, but I swapped a 27 spline 8.25" in to my YJ after grenading two pinions on two different D35's. It's been flawless ever since. Good luck! :)

Well, the engine is in and it's mostly back together. All that's left are a few vaccuum lines and some wires. I got the core support/grille and radiator in, along with the transfer case and drivelines. One more day of working on it and I should be able to try to start it. Fingers...

Welcome! I think I speak for us all when I say this thread needs pics! I'm a huge CJ fan and hope to someday restore one. On the other hand, I'm currently in the middle of an engine swap in my YJ, which has me questioning my love for working on Jeeps. :D
