Mud Pit Racing in Central Arkansas!!

^^^ That's what i was thinking. Living here in the Southwest we are lucky enough to have thousands of miles of open trails. When I see people talk about limited wheeling in other parts of the country, I shudder at the thought of being as restricted as they are.

Mud Pit Racing in Central Arkansas!!

Didn't see any Jeeps on their website. Only 500 acres? Not much room for trail runs. Looks mostly like a play area for bikes and quads.

    Yahoo... New Gears!!

^^^^ In reality, you need to re gear even if you stick with stock 32/17" tires and wheels. It's a real slug losing power just going over a highway overpass. Forget climbing a 6% grade on the highway or driving in a strong headwind. From day 1 I hated the gearing. Stalling out on the trail...

    Smiley Rock Pictures....

What a trail!! It starts off easy and then you run into the rocks... lot's of rocks. With only his 1" homemade lift, my friend from AZ LOST JEEPS did a great job of getting through in his CRD Liberty. Near the end of the trail the sky's opened up. Heavy rain and hail with he trail becoming...

    Smiley Rock.... Jul 16, 2010

Arizona guys... let's beat the heat for a few hours!! My friend, Silverdiesel from AZ LOST JEEPS, and I are heading up to the cooler climate of Jerome and Cottonwood to run: Smiley Rock... Wells #25 (D). The trail is rated difficult for a 4 mile narrow and rocky section that runs through...

    Utah Expedition... 2010

The last week of June, Beth and I packed up the JK and headed up to southern Utah to do a weeks worth of trails. No, we didn't go to Moab this time, I was just up there last October. There is way more to Utah than Moab, so this trip we just wanted to explore. There is more to four wheeling...

    Homemade Wrangler Quick Disconnects....

Actually, the clevis pins I was going to use are the same 7/16" diameter as the JKS pin that's threaded on one side to accept the bolt and tapered on the other end to make it easier to attach the sway bar links. The bolt only makes the JKS pin look bigger. Here's a quick pic I just took with...

    whining noise

I'd bet it's you're rear end... had the same symptoms on my Crossfire (R&R the entire rear end) and on my Liberty (R&R ring and pinion).

    Homemade Wrangler Quick Disconnects....

Folks... forget about the cheap mod I posted above. The clevis pin head is no where as big or strong as the factory bolts or the nuts on aftermarket quick disconnects. The steering is sloppy with the clevis pins installed and the head will wear down. If you want to disconnect... get real...

    Stop Hood Flutter

I finally got tired of carrying and replacing zip ties every time one broke. I bought the Daystar replacement latches for $24.95 and couldn't be happier. They're easy to install, less than 15 minutes. They are a little tight at first, but loosen up after a few days. No more hood flutter for me....

    Ongoing Window Regulator Issue....

GOOD NEWS!! Within the past hour I got a call from Chrysler Customer Care and the dealership where my KJ is getting the window fixed. Chrysler said they are going to reimburse me the $300.00 I've spent on regulator repairs and there will be no charge for the one being fixed today. The dealer...

    Ongoing Window Regulator Issue....

The sad part is the window doesn't have to be used, they drop on their own. I have never opened the two rear windows.

    Ongoing Window Regulator Issue....

There has not, and most likely never will be a recall of the KJ window regulator design, therefore the customer pays. It is not considered a safety issue, so the NHTSA has not got involved, and Chrysler has not stepped up and issued a manufacture's recall on a non safety related problem. Some...

    Ongoing Window Regulator Issue....

^^^^ Thanks. It will be interesting to see if the dealer will lock both rear windows in the up position for me tomorrow after they repair the bad window....
