I'm going to slowly start posting D30 tech for all us HP guys.

First one:

Want to lock yourr D30 on the cheap? find someone who threw money away on a D35 (*coughcough*JERRY BRANSFORD*coughcough*) and take their LockRight or Aussie. D35 shafts are the same size and spline count as a D30 (scary, isn't it?) and the LockRight will fit in perfectly. A D35 LockRight is .020 inches wider than a D30 one, and the Aussie will fit in with minor clearance work done to the carrier. If you go the Aussie route, you'll need new springs for the cam gears, as the D35 ones are both too long and too stiff a spring rate. It'll be like driving with welded spiders up front, and trust me when I say that blows a big one. I picked up a D35 Aussie for 50 bucks, and managed to acquire springs almost identical to those found in a D30 model from my buddy who works for an engineering company. It locks/unlocks beautifully.
