I'm helping my gramps (80 and going strong) re-building a Jeep Grand Cherokee 95 model and the only part we can't find from the local surplus dealers are those door jamb switch.

Which I figure will opt for cheap oem ones like these:

catalog said its for the 95-97 models. How are after market parts dependable? Do they last long compared to original ones. I can't find any original door jamb switch here to cannibalize.
Thanks for any info.

It shames to admit it but my gramps and my pops know cars and make it a habit of re-building cars for fun. Sadly, I'm not technically gifted as either of them.

But on these jamb switches, I can DIY it.

It would seem that it should work. You could always give it a try?

Thanks Dave. I almost forgot a legal chop shop on the next county. I'll see if they have these jambs. I might get them off cheap. If I got really nothing to find, then I'll order.

Thanks again.
