Why does the passenger side mirror have the magnifying mirror on it? Why not have the same drive side mirror on the passenger mirror? Whats the reason for it?

It's the angle you're looking at it from. One of them is concave, and the other is convex. The light distortion off the passenger mirror makes it seem like it's further away.

I think he's right. Either way it's sort of annoying. Personally, I'd prefer a small convex mirror on the existing mirror. As long as the factory mirror is big enough to accomodate it.

Yeah, I put those stick-on blind spot mirrors on mine. It makes it easier to see around you. But they still have the same disclaimer...."objects in mirror are larger than they appear"

The thing I don't get is whats the difference between just adding the normal mirror on the passenger side then the convexed one?
