  • Not a Fan. IMO the entire NE from what I've personally seen (Erie, Philly, NYC) is very, what you call clanish, if your not from the neighborhood, your an outsider. An idividual person here is very freindly, but the people as a group are RUDE. (not to trying to offend anyone, just my opinion) Can't wait to transfer next month. Not a fan of Norfolk, VA, but it is an improvement over PA. Definately in the weather department. Still no place to wheel without traveling 5 hours though. Oh well, retirement is only a couple of years away, and after I get the boys out of the house, CO bound!
I've been meaning to ask you... how are you liking it up in Erie?? My wife is from Pittsburgh. I spent four years working when I retired from the AF. Hated every minute of it. To me, the people are very clannish and the weather is less than desireable. Got married and then we moved out here in "97. Beth will go back to visit family once a year, but you couldn't get her to move back for anything even tho her entire family, including her daughter and granddaughter are back there....
