I am new to the site. I just got a great deal on a yj. Now its time to get to work on it. So far all I have gotten is a dash harness and a motor harness. oh yea and new hood catches. My jeep is an 89 yj laredo 4.2 i6 with worn 31-10.50 15s on it. I am having problems with my turn signals blowing fuses and my temprature gauge not working other than that It runs great. 149,000 miles and only paid 1900 for it.

If you can find a shorter shackle that's still longer than stock, I' say go for that and a mild leaf lift pack. shackle lift + leaf lift = a bit more flex than straight leaves.

big thanks

Thanks guys I think I am going to like it here, Shaggy my brother told me about the site he is in the middle of an s10 custom build and just had his 2009 tundra crew max bagged and he runs into lots of people who know lots about most cars, trucks, and suvs. His s10 has an ls1 in it and he is slowly talking me into going with an lsx swap. So much to think about its like a blank canvas.

welcome!

you should post up a thread showing us how you fix your electrical issues so future posters who might have the same problem can see how it is done :)

electrical problems

I will post pics of the harness replacements as I go. I have a very large job ahead of me because the guy who had the jeep before me cut wires everywhere under the hood and just put wire nuts on the wires and scabed on to other wires with different colors. I plan to start next Friday on the dash and motor. Hope my problems can help someone else out. I think something is grounding out to a hot burning up the turn signal fuse. But with all the junk under the hood I want to know what to do if I have further probs. So I am replacing every wire I can.

sounds like you have a nightmare on your hands but at least you have a plan and sound confident in your work so I am sure things will go well :)

My wiring is going to be a little behind because of a much needed trip to the beach. Surf and sand here I come! I will do a step by step when I do it though.
