i have been toying around with the idea of bring my WJ back to stock. i have OME springs and pro comp mx6 shocks on it now...with some jks stuff too. i was thinking of going with the upcountry package instead. it might be a pain to sell my current setup and get the new stuff.

what do you think?

I bought the RB1 thinking I was going to use it all the time. Then I got my Droid and the RB1 doesn't come close to Google Nav. Don't get me wrong its a great unit. I just didn't feel the need for it. Plus I needed some extra cash so it was time

Any reason why? Does the OME ride hard? Are you looking for a different feel? What size springs do you have?

I have the HD springs...lifts 2.5 inches. And idk, just looking for something different maybe. Just toying with the idea now. The ride is a lot different tho.

Right now Im looking at overhauling the brakes. I got stillen rotors sitting on the floor waiting to go on, and I want to get stainless steel brake lines and those new EBC green stuff pads. Plus I'll flush the brake fluid.

I also have a brand new JKS track bar next to me ready to go on!

It's going to be a good summer.

Any reason that your waiting till summer? Do the OME sprongs make it ride better or worse? I'm looking at getting a 2"BB for mine but I want to keep the ride as smooth as possible

Depending on what engine they have (either the 4.0, 4.7 or 4.7HO) they can easily be built up to be damn powerful. Both low-end and HP

Well I got my jeep when my sister moved from Southern California. No need for 4wd in Orange County. Trust me, I'm counting the months till I can get a new car

Tell me you're just kidding!! You have trails rated from easy to difficult all over So-Cal. Most people back east would kill to have what we have here in the southwest.

Check out the Charles A. Wells book....

"Guide To Southern California Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails"

4x4southerncalifornialrx.jpg

He lists 75 trails in So-Cal in 10 different areas. North of LA around Santa Barbra and Hungry Valley there are 8 trails listed. Just west of LA, in the San Bernadino/Inland Empire area, there are 5 trails listed. Check out a Jeep, or other SUV club and you'll find even more trails!!

Oh, and you don't even have to buy his books!! You can download a map with GPS waypoints for all of his trails in all of his books for free HEREhttp://www.funtreks.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=24&zenid=56f44e47e7516993dc169eb2465827cchttp://www.funtreks.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=24&zenid=56f44e47e7516993dc169eb2465827cc.

Here's an example... just north of Azusa between Hwy 39 and Hwy 2 is Wells #27 Rincon~Shortcut Road rated easy:

Owning a Jeep isn't about needing 4wd in town. It's all about where it can take you >>>> off the beaten path. My wife and I have never owned a truck until we bought our first Jeep, a new '99 TJ. We've been going off road ever since. We've been places in Arizona, Colorado, Utah and California and seen things most people can't begin to imagine that exists.

All the places in the pics below can be reached in a 2wd Jeep or other SUV with good A/T tires. It's a Jeep... get out and use it!! :driver:

Monument Valley, AZ...

The Painted Desert north of Cameron, AZ....

Grand Canyon Toroweep Overlook, less than 5,000 people a year visit here. It's an easy 60 mile drive on a dirt road to get there....

It's 3,000 feet above the Colorado River and 1 mile wide here (check out the woman sitting in the upper left corner of the picture for some perspective)....

A remote part of Southern Utah....

High in the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado near Telluride and Ouray....

Above the tree line at 11,000 feet....

Well, you get the idea. Hmmmm.... do you think I can get a job in Jeep's PR department??
