Tool Kit - thought long an hard on this one, got every tool I may need to fix myself out on the trail, spare parts (Fr & Rr axle shafts, U-Joints), glow sticks, duct tape, bailing wire, Chilton's manual, zip lock baggies (to hold small parts, nuts, screws as you fix it), rags, hat mounted light, all fluids, and most important, bring your common sense.
Food and water, MRE's and canteens (full).
Poncho and liner, dry socks, change of clothes, coat.
Make sure you have done basic maintenance on your 4X4, bearings, u-joints, brakes, belts and hoses, ail cleaner, batteries.
First - Aid Kit, I can bandage you, splint you, even sew you up if need be.
CB and Cell Phone and tell some one where you are going, and when you expect to be back.
Boy Scouts got it right, "Be Prepared" !

I notice you carry MRE's. I carry a couple for back up when I go on a run. Forgot to mention them.

Looks like you and I are the only ones carrying to much "stuff" Tracy?

Pretty much all the above with the exception of the children, add TP, a magnesium fire starter, signal mirror, space blanket, magnifying glass, AR 15, 200 rds ammo, super glue in first aid kit, faster than stitches and much less painfull!
150 ft winch cable extension, lots of shackles & D rings, 2-50k snatch blocks, trail marking tape & reflective tree tacks, lots more probably, I'd have to drag it all out to get it all!

I have the same CB.....haha

This is a good thread because although I carry a lot of crap, and didn't list everything, someone might post something I didn't think of.

Keep this going.
