anone have any info on this swap i would like to swap in a cj dash for a cleaner look in my yj
LOL... want a cleaner look? Gotta love plastic!! Go with a TJ dash and do a head light swap while you're at it. You know what they say about square head light Jeeps!! :Big Laugh:

Sorry, I can't offer any help other than my tongue and cheek comments. Try Google... there are more, but I had to go with this one because of the guy's opening comments. Just slap me :slap:

Swapping a CJ Dashboard Into a YJ - - Jeep at Off-Road.com

If and when you start the swap... be sure to document it with a lot of pics and post them here. Good luck!!

You might want to give these guys a call - Pneu-Con Systems, Inc. (541)382.2552

There is a thread on another jeep forum (dont wanna name names) about a guy adding a flat dash to his yj. Hope this helps.:patriot:

If you're referring to my post above, chill out and don't take life so seriously. it's all in jest when it comes to square versus round headlights. You might want to read my post above again which in part states....

Any updates? I've always preferred the look of a CJ dash myself. I'm a little chicken to attempt something that big, though.

Are the YJ dashes flat behind all that plastic? I've never had mine that far apart, although I'd like to replace my front speakers. Doesn't look like a fun job, though.

As far as AZ's comment, he's just joking around. It's not your fault he drives a Jeep that rides like a Cadillac with coil springs and all that jazz. Probably has and auto trans and A/C too!

Real Jeeps have leaf springs and turn signals beneath the headlights on the grille! :signs6:
