probably just gonna use some of the same 1/8" plate i am using for my floor boards to build a small box. then make a little cup holder stand, use like a 3" hole saw to but holes in teh plate, use the part i cut out for the bottom of the holder, then weld on a few supports to hold it up, that way the holders won't hold water.

either that or take the easy route and buy an ammo box for a consol, and then buy so boat cup holders (the ones that swivel in all directions so you can't spill them), figured those would be great for wheeling, so i won't spill my pop.

i am pretty sure i am gonna leave the stock stuff out, and remove the parking brake assembly, as it is not used anyway, and do the ammo box thing.

and i'll get pics up as soon as it quits freaking raining.

Update on the Heep!

Finally got all broke parts replaced and ready to rock and roll again.....kinda.

final tally of broken Chit.

both lower control arms, front and rear drive shafts, np242 T-case, 1 front shock, and both UCA are bent but driving on them anyway.

pass. side LCA

driver side LCA

new LCA's on

pass UCA

busted NP242 output

new NP231 with SYE and CV shaft

filled the Tcase with ATF today, replaced the front shock and even changed the oil.

all that is left to do before its next outing is to weld in my new floorpans and paint the interior with bedliner, then re-assemble it.

upper arms are only tweaked slightly, and as it is a trail only jeep, i am not overly concerned about them. rear leaves are my next major concern. might either build some new bastard packs or just man up and buy some off the shelf springs and shackles

thoughts on a rear stretch?

thinking of replacing the rear leaf springs this winter. if i do, gonna mount them backwards, giving me about 5" or so of rear stretch. good idea? bad? i know alot of other work must be done to do so. longer D-shaft, brake lines, re-located fuel tank, shock mounts. etc. but 106.4 wheelbase is much more appealing to me than a 101.4" wheelbase.
