Here you go, the Outlaw Armory....

Ruger Mark III ~ .22 LR (10+1)
(plinking)

Ruger LCP ~ .380 Auto (6+1)
(always in my pocket)

Ruger SR9 ~ 9mm (17+1)
(plinking, trail gun, summer carry)

Sig Sauer P226 Elite ~ .40S&W (12+1)
(trail gun, winter carry, home defense)

Springfield Armory PX9151LP Loaded ~ .45ACP (7+1)
(winter carry, home defense)

Mossberg 500A Persuader ~ 12 GA (7+1)
(seeing it or just hearing you rack it is enough to scare most BG's out of the house)

not yet, but i have been looking for my first gun, can't decide what to get. looking for a decent handgun for carry piece, something i can take wheeling with me for protection, and home protection.

maybe a 1911, been looking at a S&W .40 cal MP series as well, but i love revolvers and have always wanted a .357 wheel gun.

i advise a 1911. they are great pistols. the design hasnt changed in many years and many companies have copied the 1911 because its design is so good. i would advise a Kimber 1911 personally, they are real nice and well built.

also another good one to check out would be a SIG SAUER they make good ones

i think you should be fine as long as you stay away from cheap off brands, compact pistols (.380 type things), and glocks. haha i have a thing against glocks... they are like holding a box of rifle ammo cause thay are so big and blocky feeling. just not comfortable to me haha

but i do know what ya mean about revolvers. i have a S&W stainless .357 mag 7 shot and its awesome.. there is just something about a big revolver that makes me smile

Granted, the .380 is not the man stopper that a .40 or .45 is, but it'll do the job for "up close and personal" self defense work which it was specifically designed for. It's a small "go anywhere pocket gun" and it works well here in Arizona with the 8~9 months of shorts and t-shirt weather we have.

Load the LCP .380 up with either of these two and the BG isn't going to feel very good. You'll ruin his day for sure....

The Cor-Bon DPX is an all copper alloy bullet that reliably expands to over .70 cal. Ouch, that hurts....

If I had but one choice, it would be a .40S&W. The M&P40 is a very good choice for home, trail and concealed carry. It was the first .40S&W I bought. I ended up selling it to buy the all metal Sig I got at a very good price. Wish i had kept it, much easier to carry and conceal than the Sig.

Smith and Wesson M&P40 ~ .40S&W (15+1)

the local gun shop has a heck of a deal on the SW .40, but then i got looking the the 1911's. i was set on the SW for the price, but now i am not sure.

and if i could afford it they had an 8 shot nightguard series .357 revolver by S&W, for $700 brand new, but that is more than i can spend right now.
